thanksgiving week

The kids really enjoyed a week off from school last week to celebrate Thanksgiving and spend time with family. On Weds, we met my mom and sister's kids at a trampoline park. It was Evie's first time and she loved the baby area with the balls! Then I took Evie home and my mom took the kids to see the new movie, Frozen.

My mom with my sister and her kids.

On Friday, the boys helped my mom decorate some cakes to deliver to the homeless. When they got back, they said that they were thankful for their home and blankets.

On actual Thanksgiving Day, we had Jason's parents over for Ethiopian food to celebrate Evie's one year referral anniversary. We tried to successfully make injera and failed...we will try again another time. Jason brought back an injera maker from Ethiopia but our batter was not right. We were just thankful to have our baby girl home for her first Thanksgiving!

The doro wat and shiro wat turned out great though, so we ate it with rice.

Thanksgiving night, our family welcomed Atlas Eugene to the world. He came on his own at home and on Thanksgiving Day. He is precious. We have yet to make it over there to see him but you can tell from his pictures how beautiful he is.

Here he is with Nana and new big brother, Solomon.

On Saturday, my mom headed with us to Gainesville to spend time with Jason's extended family. Since Brad & Nova had just had the baby, we were sad that they weren't able to make it but enjoyed being with Matt & Lauren. The kids made s'mores with Grangoat.

The boys wrestled. Very common in our household. Elijah on top of Judah while he screams or trying to pull his pants off! :-)

Evie and Judah loved coloring with the giant book.

I love how she kept laying on her tummy to color.

Having fun with Aunt Laur-Laur and Uncle Matt.

These are just some cute shots that Matt got of the boys.

This picture absolutely embodies Judah - love it!

The boys stayed to spend the night and we returned on Sunday so that Jason could preach at their church.

Busy, busy week but a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
