was that really a year ago???

I am having an emotional week. On Saturday, our Judah (aka Jude, Bug, Judebug, Judah-bug, Ju-Ju, Juby, Bubba), will turn one year old and I can hardly believe it! TIME FLIES BY...especially, it seems, with the second one. A year ago tomorrow I wrote this post and to re-read my birth story click here. What a crazy crazy day it was...it seems like yesterday.

I don't remember what we ever did without this sweet, sweet baby boy in our family and in the world. We are so blessed by him, he is such a special gift from God and he is so loved.

Here are some things I love & want to remember about Judah right now at almost one year old:
*he is so precious when he waves bye-bye to EVERYONE
*he can sign the words "more" and "all finished"
*he loves for elijah and i to build a block tower just for him just so he can knock it down and clap for himself
*he is definitely a mama's boy and will hardly go to anyone else (i'm secretly enjoying that right now :-)
*he has taken random steps but is still not walking - he has a mean crawl though and loves to push his walker all over the house while waving bye bye
*he LOVES cell phones - he has 3 of his own and always wants to play with mine
*his favorite thing to eat is his yo-baby yogurt every morning for breakfast
*when you ask him to show his muscles he just makes this funny strained face
*his favorite person to play with is elijah
*he will give you a big, wet kiss when you ask him for one

I could go on & on about him...he is awesome.

Someone tell me...How does THIS turn into...

THIS in only one short year????

More to come later from his one year photos and BUG birthday party.

Happy Birthday my sweet buggy-boy! We love you so much!

Easter 2009

We had an impromptu photoshoot on Easter while my in-laws were here. WOW! There were too many cute ones to choose from so I'm giving you a whole slew of them for your viewing pleasure! I'm not even going to show you all of the individual shots we got of Judah for his first birthday coming up in less than two weeks! They are precious as well, but I will save those for his birthday post since I'm putting a few of them out at his party.

I got my hair cut last week-

Hunting for eggs-

The "Easter bunny" brought Elijah some six-shooters for Easter. What a strange Easter bunny!

Oh, how I love these tree shots of my big boy - almost 5 years old, wow!

Judah is saying "more" in sign language

I love this grin!

I found his outfit at a resale for only $4!

My favorite memory from the day was that morning when I asked Elijah what Easter meant. He said, "When Jesus raised from the dead and went to heaven!" That just made my day. Thank you God for that gift!

A New Season

Last night was Elijah's first baseball game of the season on the Rockies! Since he wanted to stay with Jonathan, he moved up to a 5-6 year old coach pitch team, so he is the youngest on the team since he's not quite 5. There are a couple of kids on the team that are still 6 but nearly 7 - I think you might can pick them (him) out??? :-)

All dressed for the game!

Focused on the batter, while playing in right field. I'll inform you that he was most certainly NOT watching the dandelions grow...rather, he was building a tunnel in the dirt! :-)

They have little catchers and everything...it's adorable. I can't wait until my in-laws come to a game with their fancy-schmancy camera and get way better pictures than my camera does!

Elijah didn't get a hit, but he sure did swing well...left-handed, I might add.

The only frustrating thing for me was that the game started at 7:30!!! Does that seem late to anyone else for 5 and 6 year olds??? It was 9:30 before we had him in bed, and Judah & I had to leave early because he was exhausted!
Watching the coach and umpires discuss the game.

Despite the fact that this might be a little bit of a frustrating year for him, he is really enjoying it so far and I think will learn a lot and improve by the end of the season. Come watch him play sometime if you can - he would love that!
